One year surgiversary
Yesterday was my one year surgiversary. It seems like another lifetime ago that I was headed to Mexico on this crazy journey. I have gone from an all time high weight of 287 to a new low of 162, 9 lbs. from my goal. If I never lose another pound I will be happy with what I have accomplished thus far. My aches and pains have all but disappeared and I am much more active than I have been in the past. Blood pressure and cholesterol are way down, and yesterday I bought a pair of jeans for the first time in a decade (size 12!)
I'm not even close to perfect. I graze, I eat a slice of cake every once in a while, but I try to be mindful and am SO much healthier and happier than I have been in the past 15 year of morbid obesity.
To anyone on the fence about whether or not VSG is a good decision, I can tell you it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Be healthy everyone! (Posting some new pics today too)

Congratulations! You should be super proud. It's not an easy road but its a good road to travel. Wishing you continued success and peace.
Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!
