20 months - it isn't easy, but it is easier -- pic & weight graph

Well 20 months out things still aren't easy.  The cravings come back, the hunger comes back and I can eat more.  It is no where near as hard as it was before.  While I get hungry and can eat more I still can not do anywhere near the damage I did before.  I could still gain all the weight back I'm sure, but it would probably take longer.  Getting back on track is easier -- but not easy.

This is a life long process and it is hard to stay diligent.  I'm still up about 2-3 lbs from where Iwould ideally be.  I have been working out like a beast and am wondering if it is muscle b/c I'm super defined right now.  I can even see my ab muscles!  Insane!

Random post -- I'd recommend to newbies -- lose all your weight early if you can.  Avoid letting in any junk as long as you can.  Once it is in it is HARD to get out.  And WORKOUT -- find something you love.

This is how I spend a lot of my time -- sweaty!

I track my weight -- constantly!

I constantly look up to you as a role model.  Thank you for your honesty !  I'd like to add to your excellent advice.  Take advantage of your pre-surgery time to its fullest too.  The more weight you can lose and the more you can get your head in the game BEFORE your sleeve, the better habits you'll have to rely on later.

I am a few months behind you and could not agree more.

I am striving to be on your level as a workout warrior.

As someone who is 16 months out from surgery, this is by far the longest I have kept weight off.  Before, I could lose about 20-60 lbs but diet fatigue would set in and I would put all the weight back on and then some.

The sleeve and the ability to exercise more is my safety net for bad choices.

Durn, girl!  What I wouldn't give for a booty like that (mine is flat as a pancake, no matter what I do). You are rocking this thing out fierce!

Seriously, though...thank you for your insight. You have had quite a bit of practice with this now - learning from you is such a help!

HHehe -- I do have a bum.  My sister has always been jealous.  It is a much more reasonable size now though!

I attribute it to all of the ice hockey I have played :)
