I used milk of magnesium to get moving. There are other products you can use as well.  Don't let it go too long.  Once you get going Miralax will be your friend.   Good luck.

Get enema or suppositories... Don't wait.

Once things get hard...it can be very very very painful to have BM.. I am talking from experience...

Make sure things are moving... At least every 2-3 days..

Pain pills - like the ones you are probably on post ok - make things stop moving... Good luck.

4 days is too long to wait - follow the advice of others on here and start using Miralax daily in your shake and get an enema/suppository to get things moving.  You don't need that problem!

I was in the hospital for 5 days and I think I finally went around day 7.  I started on Miralax on day 5.  Good luck.  It was such a relief to finally go!

It may be a struggle until you're free of all pain meds.

+1 Agree with Valerie.  As soon as I stopped pain meds things pretty much went back to normal..
