In most restaurants we've visited, protein can be ordered to add to a salad. I've been able to order just the add-on, grilled salmon and grilled chicken strips. The serving size has been 4 oz.  in both cases. Who knew?

Good to know!

(Now if only I could break the honey mustard dressing habit...sigh!)

I have pretty much given up on salads b/c I don't like low-cal dressings...and when I do allow the them the calories, sodium & carbs are not worth it!

You may have already heard this tip before, but in order to cut down on calories of the salad dressings, my nutritionist suggested this.  Ask for the dressing to be on the side, don't drench your salad it in, and then before each bite just dip your fork in the dressing then get you bite of salad, that way every bite has dressing without drenching or soaking your salad.  You will find that you end up using a whole lot less dressing! Just a little tip I have been using!

Do you have a gastric sleeve card? If so, do you use it at restaurants?
