Stalls... Ugh

So I'm 3 months and 1 week post op and I've been doing pretty well with weight loss. I have had some really great NSV's! However, I have come to yet another stall.... I know they happen. I just can't shake the nagging feeling that the weight loss won't start back up. I am fully aware that this an irrational fear, but it's still a fear. How do you kick these low feelings?

Stalls suck.

You just have to keep telling yourself, keep eating on plan and it is a normal part of the process. I would go 10-12 days without losing and then wake up and 3-4 lbs would be gone.

The other thing that helps are measurements and clothing NSVs. I could tell I was losing fat but not necessarily pounds when I had to tighten my belt one more notch.

Stalls are your body's way of telling you not to get too cocky.

Look at a stall as an opportunity. Examine what you are doing. Has your activity decreased? Have you started eating anything you shouldn't? Have you started eating even a tiny bit more than you should be of healthy things?

If you are really on track, then the stall shouldn't concern you. Just keep doing what you have been doing, and everything will be fine. If you are a little off track, a stall can be a useful wakeup call.

Grim I appreciate your comments always! I respect your opinion so much. If I'm truly honest with myself after reading your comment I have let some sweet tea slip back in to my life. I usually drink decaf unsweet but have allowed myself to have the sweet. I really do need to examine my overall diet and see where else there may be slip ups... Thank you so much!

I have been stalled out for more than a month, so I feel your disappointment. I stalled once before at month 5-6 for a month too. It can be discouraging, but just keep on the right path with food and exercise and it will come. Good luck to you.

I noticed I stall when it's that's time of month. I retain a lot of water during that time. I stalled out for a week and now I'm down 3 pounds. I took a water pill and I couldn't believe how much water I retained. Hope this helps.....
