Today I completed my NUT class and psych eval. Tomorrow is upper GI (YUCK), and Thursday is pre-op class which has to be done at least two weeks prior to surgery. I should get my surgery date after this is complete. I'm so ready to do this! But I'm nervous

I'm so excited for you. I remember my mix of feelings when I was getting started. I have had such a good experience with the sleeve. I lost 225 pounds and I am a normal weight for the first time since I was a teen (and that's many years ago )

I wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey.

best wishes,

Carol

Thanks Carol

I have that much to lose. It feels like forever away to reach that goal but I know it will happen. You and others here have been such an inspiration!

You can do it. I know how disillusioned you may be - I know I was - but the sleeve really changes your physiology. The experts don't really know how it works. The cutting of the nerves in the stomach may reset the control mechanism for your metabolism; the change in the hunger hormones produced by the tummy might help; the restriction helps - especially early on - later, I think its less so. But the surgery does make the weight loss possible - not easy, but possible.

I look forward to watching your progress. I am so happy for you.
