Hi,

Has anyone experienced being very emotional?

I feel like a train wreck. On the verge of tears constantly.

I was in a minor fender bender a week after surgery and could not stop crying. It was weird. I've heard that there are lots of hormones stored in fat. Because we lose fat so fast, our hormones go wild for a while.

You did not give any info on how far out from surgery you are. Some people seem to be affected by the anethesia and are emotional for some time afterwards. Also there is a hormonal affect of dissolving fat which does hold hormones. Remember youy can discuss with your support team. That is why they are there. I hope you soon feel better.

I am 5 weeks post op. so it must be hormonal.

Sometimes vitamins can be the cause as well. Might go get your B's and D's checked. Hugs! Pamper yourself anyway you can while your riding the roller coaster.

Yes...very much so. I think that emotions have built up with all the excitement of your surgery and after you sort of crash...emitionally. At least I did.

It's called Hormone Dumping.

Hi, I am 4 days out and I've cried at least 3 times now over trivial stuff. I was never a crier before. I think it is the hormones raging inside us. It will get better.
