Meat. Any kind of meat. Meat good. Deli meat is great for snacks. A few slices of rolled up ham is one of my go-to foods.

Steak. Ribeye. If a windowless van driven by a guy wearing a hockey mask stopped, and had ribeye, I would climb in.

I do a lot with grocery store rotissary chicken.  I'll take the meat off the bones and make a chicken and broccoli casserole, or pesto chicken, or alfredo chicken, etc..  I make low carb meatballs and shape them as one ounce each.  Then I freeze them is a zip lock bag and I can take out 3 or 4 for a meal, and heat it in a sauce or with cheese.  I also love crack slaw, and phily cheese steak sloppy joes, and the atkins beef stroganoff recipe. There are so many choices.  Check out the recipe forum and recipes on the internet.

best wishes,

Carol

I eat a lot of jerky. I have a dehydrator and make it myself, it's super cheap. Last batch, I got London broil on sale and made almost 5lb for fifteen bucks!

do you use a marinade or spices on the meat?

I cut it into strips and marinate it overnight. I use a mix of Louisiana hot sauce and poblano pepper sauce, and a jar of Montreal steak seasoning. Super easy, really spicy, and really good!

There are a lot of low carb & bariatric friendly recipes on Pinterest. As for protein, my favorites are shrimp, pot roast, and chicken.
