Well I'm 4 hours into my pre-op diet and things seem to be going okay, but I'm sure it gets worse right?

What does your pre-op diet require?  Seems like there are lots of different plans.  I found drinking At least 100 oz of fluids helped me stay ahead of the hunger.  It will go by before you know it!

The Arnp at my surgeon's office also helped me realize that the journey starts now, not on the day of surgery.  I was able to lose around 20 lbs on my pre-op diet and start building habits like tracking my fluid intake and shakes/meal, and I went for a walk daily as well.

good luck!

I can have a meal replacement shake and a half cup of low fat tomato soup ever hour and half and in between I get to have 4oz sugar free pudding or 6oz low fat yogurt or a sugar free frozen fruit popsicle, and I get to do this for the next 6 days.....YEEHAW

Hi!  I'm on day 8 of 14 for my pre-op diet.  It actually hasn't been bad at all, though there are moments when the only thing keeping me from taking a bite of my husband's dinner is knowing that I'm shrinking my liver for surgery by sticking to the plan.  It's a small sacrifice for a healthier and happier lifetime, and writing my food/water/vitamins is helping me to build a habit I know I will need when the dust settles.  Keep up the good work!

You probably should check with your surgeons office, as they all have differing plans.
