My surgery is set for may 6th, my daughters pre-school graduation is 10 days later. By then would I be able to go? I'm just curious as to how quick I can start doing normal activities after surgery, so much going on in may for me!

Thanks!

You should be able to go.  I went to my 40 year high school reunion 11 days after my surgery and did fine.  It was tiring, but I didn't have a problem staying until the end.

5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!

I came back to work one week post op and able to walk on treadmill for 30 minutes a day.....I think you will be fine :)

It's not about losing weight.....it's about gaining confidence too.  It's not about shrinking in size, it's about growing in strength

I was up and about by day 5 post op.  I did find I was easily tired and needed naps for months, but you should be fine for the graduation.

best wishes for your weight loss journey,

Carol
