Just woke up 2:40 in the morning with nausea and began to vommit. Must say I was scared it was green in color maybe to much info. Anyway all I had was water 1 ice pop and chicken broth. Has this happened to anyone else.  I'm nervous because I was struggling to get my water in anyway.  Any suggestions would be great!! Ugh

It sounds like you might need a prescription to control nausea and vomiting -- or possibly a change/addition to your PPI, since you woke up in the night with this. In any event, you should call your surgeon and check in with him or her so that they can help you determine whether this is normal or something to be concerned about. Good luck!

Sounds like acid reflux.  You might need something to reduce acid.  Tums is a great place to start.  I find if I drink too close to bedtime I have reflux in the night.  I also have the head of my bed raised 9".  I use cPaP for obstructive sleep apnea, when I sleep without it reflux is worse.

I had a lot of post-op nausea and dry heaves but no actual vomiting.  They sent me home with zofran that dissolves on your tongue and compazine suppositories.  Definately call your surgeon.  The green vomit is probably bile unless you ate a green popsicle so don't be too freaked out by that.  That is all that would be in your in stomach at this point anyway.  Hope you feel better soon.  I know that is so miserable.

Called the surgeon they gave me zofran  I think it is helping with but it may also just be time. I felt awful at 2:40 am. But not so bad now.  I have had a headache for a couple of days but just using Tylenol for pain. Took a Percocet last night before bed and that may have made me feel sick. Pushing through with the fluids but it has not been easy. Walking and feeling a little better every hour. Thanks for the advice

I don't know if you were a caffeine drinker before surgery but the if you were, the headache may be caffeine withdrawal.  Consider a cup of warm caffeinated tea.  It may help your stomach and fix your headache.

Just take things slow your sleeve is swollen. Sip wait, sip wait, sip. I am not feeling 100% I am on day 4 PO. The only thing that taste good to me is tea and chicken broth. I did have a little jello but it tasted too sweet. Each day will get better.

I'm sorry I didn't realize you were not taking an acid/gas blocker I have been taking one in the morning and  one at night plus pain killers. Did the surgeon give you anything to take home? Feel better  (((HUGS))).
