Got my Surgery Date!

Will be getting sleeved on August 23rd! So excited and nervous too...I've never had surgery before!

When they get ready to wheel you into surgery, most practices will give you a sedative to calm you down. Mine didnt even tell me they were... I just all of a sudden was high as a kite lol

......wonder if they will give me mine as soon as I walk in Preop? LOL  For some reason that's the most intimidating part to me, laying there waiting for them to come get me for surgery!

You could certainly ask. I had my wisdom teeth out shortly after my brother died post op RNY and I was pretty nervous about being knocked out for the procedure. My blood pressure was so high they canceled it when I was there, and gave me something to relax myself prior to showing up the next time. Worked like a charm.
