My friend, who had a sleeve last Thursday, said that when she drinks too fast she gets the foamies.  I had RNY (9+ years ago) and know about the foamies.  Is it basically the same thing, if you drink too much or too fast...You get this white foam that comes up and you just spit and spit till it goes away?  Thanks for any info.  Could it mean something else, or just very common for VGS early on?  Brian

Forgot to mention...She had a Hiatal Hernia repair done at the same time as the VSG.

I only had the foamies once, and it was caused by eating too much.  I don't think it is particularly common for VSG.

best wishes,

Carol

it can be for VSG. I have had the foamed several times when food was too dry or just didn't sit well.
