I have started my journey with Tufts Medical Center with my first two appts. next week.

Can anyone tell me about the Immersion Day, which will be my next step?

Thanks!

You are asking about a program specific to one hospital. The odds of finding someone on the site at this point in time from Tufts Medical Center are pretty slim. Try checking out the Tufts local support meeting.

Hi there -

I had my surgery at Mt Auburn Hospital with Dr. Julie Kim, who splits her time between there and Tufts. The immersion day is probably the same as what I went through.

It's a day long information session. You'll be given a binder and meet (in a group setting) with the nutritionist, psychologist and surgeon, who will explain the procedure. You don't need to prepare for anything - just show up. It's pretty thorough and you'll leave with a good idea of what you'll go through to prepare and of course, post-op.

I hope this helps. PM me if you have any more questions. Good luck!

Lisa
