Hi,

I haven't checked in in awhile but wanted to share...went in for my 6 month check up, all was great so happy about that. The next night woke up at 2am with this crazy pain in my chest/ab area. Got pretty scared, knew it wasn't right and scared I was having a heart attack. My husband called 911 and off I went. The pain was crazy. It took 3 doses of morphine before i had a little relief, and that was not much. Finally found after tests etc that my gallbladder was ready to burst so off to surgery I went. Home now, feeling like I've been hit by a truck. I know I have read that a lot of people end up getting their gallbladders removed, just had no idea that it could happen like like. One minute i was fine, the next, wham! Glad that's behind me now.

Years ago I had a hysterectomy. I was still home recovering a few weeks later, and the yikes I felt this extreme pain. I told my Husband "My surgery ripped apart" that's how it felt. But it was my gallbladder. Then I had to have another surgery. All they said was, Too bad we didn't know, we could have done both at the same time. I was not very happy. Hope you're doing well.

It's way too common with rapid weight loss for the gallbladder to give problems.  I'm forever thankful that my doc removed mine (and appendix as a precaution) when she did my surgery.  I'm glad you're home and on the mend.
