Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Went to a new local joint and had a terrific pumpkin smoothie. Want to try to make it at home and found this recipe. If you tweek it (omit the maple or at least use a sugar free maple syrup) it actually has good stats. Stats shown are with the maple syrup. I am thinking a scoop of protein powder would blend pretty seamlessly and really boost the protein. Likly will freeze the yogurt and maybe use some ice cubes as well to make it like a shake texture. Planning on playing with this recipe a bit to make it more weight loss friendly In the mean time if someone out there makes a good tweak maybe post the adjustments. Found myself this last week totally derailing, so working toward healthing up and enjoying some pumpkin too!

  • 1 c pumpkin purée
  • 1 c Stonyfield Organic Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt

Went to make it and out of some ingredients. Instead I did this, and it was crazy filling and very good if you like this particular flavor profile. It didn't quite meet my ratio of 1 gram pf protein to 10 calories, but a meal replacement for sure.

1 cup vanilla almond milk (30 calorie type)

1/3 cup pumpkin puree

1 scoop Click mocha protein powder

1/4 cup Torani salted caramel syrup (guessed on this amount, just dumped some in)

1/4 tsp Penzeys pumpkin pie spice

4-5 ice cubes
