I am soooooooooooooo  excited.  I used to be one that didn't believe in bariatric surgery.  I thought everyone could lose the weight if they had enough will power.  But after gaining again for about the 50th time, I did my research and crossed over to the believer side.  I see this now as a great tool to help those of us that continually struggle with being overweight.  I don't have 100 pounds to lose, my goal is 60, but I have struggled with this same 60 for 25 years.

December 5th is my day.   I am so glad I found this support page!  Your stories are inspiring and educational..

Thank you so much.  These are great links and I printed off the list for the hospital packing.  More to come!

One thing I cannot stress enough is to make this site a part of your daily routine from now on.  Even into maintenance.  The support you find here will be invaluable to you for the rest of your life.

"...This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away, to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. What he was doing..."

Can't wait to hear your post-op results!  I have 87 lbs to lose and am waiting for my surgery date.  Let us know how you're doing.

I completely understand your struggle.
