What do your surgeon's instructions say re: how much to eat?

What does your surgeon say?

It sounds like there is something wrong and if you continue to wait to find out what the problem is you are going to end up with complications.

Why do you continue to ask questions here when you never listen to anyone anyways?

You really better pray you getting re-sleeved does not increase your GERDS.  You know that can lead to Barrett's Esophagus right?  Which in turn can lead to throat cancer.

My dad died from esophageal cancer caused by years of gerd. He battled it for 2 years. It was horrible.

People need to heed this warning.

Laura that is awful.  I'm so sorry to hear your dad had a horrible death.

I originally wanted the sleeve when I was going for my revision, but because the lap band caused so much reflux/heartburn my surgeon refused to do it.  So I went with the bypass and really couldn't be happier.  The minute I was out of surgery it was gone.

You need to treat that as if you have a brand new sleeve.

Typically - that means starting with 1 oz of food. Not 4 oz.  4 oz is a huge amount for newly reshaped sleeve.

4 oz would be like 2-3 months post op.

I'm glad you made it through surgery well.

You should be following your surgeon's advice.  It's basically the same as your first procedure, and if you are having trouble they need to assist you.  That is what they are there for :)

Sleeve to sleeve revisions are a bit more rare here, and with complications or difficulty it is good to always check with the surgeon's office.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
