My whole body is sore today from yesterday's run, but I'm still feeling super proud of myself for doing all seven miles, and doing it like it was no big deal. Hopefully tomorrow's run will be a piece of cake as a result, since it's "only" 3.1!

This morning I've got zenga class and then school for the rest of the day. I'm in reading all the research mode for my GERO paper that's due next weekend.

QOTD: What is one topic that you really enjoy talking about with people?

1: protein shake
2: leftover salmon
3: tandoori meatloaf, sautéed asparagus (these things don't really go together, but the asparagus looked good!)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: zenga class

How about you?

I took DH to 2 outdoor concerts yesterday (afternoon and evening). Different genre but both very good. Gwen probably knows that people with Alzheimer's (like DH) retain the musical parts of their brain the longest and DH has always loved music, so I am seeking it out. You have to love Cape Cod especially in the summer for this kind of thing!

QOTD: It amazes me that you can keep coming up with new questions. My retirement brain struggles. I like to talk about my kids, adoption, and weight loss surgery (with the right audience obviously). I'll think of more topics later, but I have to get my butt in gear for yoga.

2 Years, 4 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 20 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ? (At a wedding shower, but will scope out protein)

S: ? (Still at wedding shower...)

Music is definitely excellent for the brain :D

And yay for yoga! Do you go to a yoga class or do you have a home practice? (Or both!)

I've been going to yoga three times a week and am really enjoying it. I never did it prior to a few months ago.

Good morning! Congratulations Gwen on your 7 mile run, that is amazing! Good luck on tomorrow's 3.1!!

I have been gone from the forum for about two weeks. I hope everyone has been well and has been enjoying their summer!

My 13yr old niece from Denver was here for about 10 days. My brother had cranial surgery on July 30th, so there has been a lot going on. My niece is home now and my brother is on the mend, so all is well for awhile:-)

My eating wasn't the greatest during the last two weeks, I gained 5 pounds. I am stocking the kitchen with lots of protein and veggies during tomorrow's grocery store visit. I am determined to get off the regain and make it to my goal by October.

QOTD-Food, music and what people are watching on T.V. I do enjoying talking politics but will pull back if an argument gets too heated.

B-Bullet Coffee

D-?

E-short hike with my dog

I hope everyone has a great weekend, it's good to be back with you all!
