Dr. Houseworth

I had my first appointment with Dr. Houseworth.  My husband went with me and we both left there feeling hopeful.  I have decided to go with the full bypass instead of just the sleeve.  I think (and my Dr agrees) that in the long run it will give me the results I need.  And when I asked him how much he would expect me to lose this way he said 150 pounds!  Wow!  That would put me to 125 and that was my personal goal!  I was afraid he would give me a higher goal.  Very exciting. 

So on the insurance front, I have to do 6 months of Nut, 3 physical therapy, a psych eval, Bloodwork, EKG, Chest xray, Support groups attended, and Upper GI.  Plus I need a letter of referral and a letter clearing me for surgery from my regular Dr. I have already been to a local support group and found one more.  I have my first Nut appointment next week and my upper GI is Oct. 25th.  Bloodwork, xray and ekg will be done in month 5.  Psych eval will be done around month 2.  So if all goes well ill be up for approval to have surgery next February.
