Just another entry

Aug 26, 2016

I'm doing good with my vegetarian choices. My big down fall is my coffee intake because I use a LOT of creamer when I drink coffee. I lost 2 pounds since becoming vegetarian. That was about two weeks ago. I have to figure out something to make today with squash, celery, onions, potatoes, and cheese, garlic stuff like that. I don't know what to make.

Day 4

Aug 25, 2016

I'm starting off on a good foot. I had an everything bagel thin and coffee for breakfast. I only used two teaspoons of sugar and the rest was sweetner for my 24 oz cup of coffee and one tbs of non dairy creamer. I have my lunch mapped out too. I have vegatarian spaghetti made. it's angle hair pasta with sauce filled with zucchini. Yum so good. I'm not sure what I'm going to eat for dinner tonight. For now this is a good enough start. I have almonds that I will eat twice today for added protein and energy.

Day 3 A little hiccup with my insurance

Aug 24, 2016

I just found out that I haven't had insurance since May. I will get it back September 1st So I will make an appointment to start my six month diet after the first. I am down to one teaspoon per cup of coffee of sugar :D And it doesn't taste real bad. I ordered some protein powder to start using now. I'm going to use them as meal replacement for breakfast and lunch since right now I don't really eat breakfast or lunch but instead snack on junk food instead. I just got basic chocolate because I don't like vanilla. I can't wait to start the process and start the weigh ins. I'm going to call the surgeon and see what else needs to be done before I can have the surgery.

Day 2

Aug 23, 2016

I've gotten reaquainted with myfitnesspal and am keeping track of my calories again. I"m finding it hard to get enough calories for today. I don't want to eat junk to fill in the calories so I'm going to look for something packed with protein that I can eat cuz that stuff seems to have more calories, like nuts. I can only handle about a serving of almonds before my belly is full so I will add that in and maybe some cottage cheese later. I'm looking forward to my surgery and am so glad that I'm doing this with my husband. IT was difficult trying to stay on track the first time around with everyone around me eating whatever they wanted. Now if my husband is doing it with me it will help motivate each other to eat right and my living situation has changed since the last time. Last time my daughter who is the junk food queen was living with me now my son who is a health nut is living with me so that will make a big difference too. I'm still new to the vegetarian stuff but I'm shocked at how easy it's been. I'm really proud of myself for taking this step. I'm doing it as a religious step but a health step as well. I have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Vegetarian eatting will help that with or without the surgery. I wish I had some kind of idea as to when I could have the surgery. I don't want to wait real long I really want to start around the same time as my husband. I just think it would be easier. I guess I'll call my family doctor today and find out if he has the weigh in's I need.

My First Day On OH

Aug 21, 2016

I'm at the beginning of my journey for bypass surgery. I had the gastric sleeve three years ago and never lost more than thirty pounds. Due to medication and pretty much giving up after such a crappy weight loss I am only about 15 lbs less than before my first surgery. I'm smoking again, So I'm quitting today. That of course means I will be putting on even more weight. The average is a minimum of 20 lbs. SO I'm going to be starting off weighing more than I did when I had my first surgery. I've made some changes in preparation to this new surgery. I've cut my sugar in take, I'm drinking less caffeine and using sweetner for half of my sweetness to my coffee. I'm working my way down to no sugar just sweetner. Also due to religious reasons I have become vegetarian. So far I'm doing well. I'm not vegan just vegetarian so I still use milk, cheese, and eggs. I've been vegetarian for about a week now and it's been a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm worried about gaining weight with me quitting smoking. I"m going through a major change in my life and the surgery is just icing on the cake Sorry for the reference but if I can't have the icing or the cake I can at least make reference to it LOL.
