"My initial impression of Dr. Custer was that he was straight forward, professional and appeared to be very healthy himself. His presentation at the initial consult was thorough and he discussed the pros and cons of different types of bariatric surgeries. He patiently answered all of my questions regarding the surgeries in my personal follow-up with him. My surgery went very smoothly, so I believe he is a skilled surgeon as well.
Dr. Custer and the staff recognize the importance of after-care, stressing the importance of nutrition and exercise. Post-op visits are scheduled at 1 week, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, at 1 year, and yearly after.
Dr. Custer is very engaged in the pre-op and post op process and the success of his patients. He is encouraging but also candid during office visits. He has continued to educate me on the benefits, the risks and the responsibilties of the patient post-operatively.
