Ok since I forgot to post it just wanted to wish myself a happy 7 months post op.  Today I'm 7months and 5 days to be more exact.

Not really anything to post other than I caught myself grazing so that habit is gonna be put to rest for sure.  Everyone now ask when I'm going to stop and tells me that I need to stop losing weight.  I would like to drop 8 more lbs then I'll go into maintaining my weight.  I know I'll drop more after plastics but they tell us to wait until we are 18 months post open before we do that.  So that's pretty much it :)

Guess who woke up today with a normal BMI.  No more overweight or obese.  I've been so blessed to have this tool helping me become healthy again.

Today I hit week 30 post op.  Yay!

The good:

113lbs gone!
2 lbs short of losing 100% of my excess weight.
2lbs short of a normal (aka not overweight or obese BMI)
Regaining the freedom to move

The bad:
Very low thiamin level. Taking shots for 3 weeks to fix this. Or so we hope
2 surgeries last week.

The important:
I'm active.
I'm as active as my children!
I am still me :)

Wow moment of the day.  I just tried on my old army pt uniform and it fit! WTF!

Hmm last week I only dropped 1lb.  Since thursday I've dropped 4 lbs.   I'll never understand my body I'm just glad it still is letting it go of the weight lol.

Wow week 26 already!  Holy cow.  I am 10 weeks late on doing a recent pic.  Oops.  Currently sitting at 103 lbs lost.  I really only want to drop 10 more lbs.  I'd love to drop 20 more lbs but seriously that would be smaller than I was in high school so that probably won't happen.  Remember I was a cheerleader, basketball player, and other active stuff in high school.  So I was by no means overweight.

I'll try to get an updated pic soon.  My pouch is still pretty small.  Still averaging around 3 oz. So yeah still pretty small.  I was told while some  people do get a bigger pouch over time some don't so I might be one of those.  I really kind of hope so.

I know this sounds bad but listen to why before you judge me.  When I see an obese child eating sweets I really want to scream at the parents to do something about it.   Why?  Because I've had the weight loss surgery.  First just because it's available does not mean that anyone that's obese can have it.  Many insurance companies won't even pay a dime.  Plus the hoops you have to jump through just to get approved are stressful in itself.  If you are lucky to get that far to where you get to have the surgery and find a surgeon that will do it for you the surgery is hard as well.  It's painful.  I seriously never want to go through that pain again although I'll have plastics which I hear is 8 times more painful.   Then learning the whole new way of life isn't easy.  You have to be very strict otherwise you can throw that 50k surgery right out the window very easily.   Plus I now live for my scale.  I was depressed because omg I gained 1.5 lbs.  It's really hard mentally.

So yeah that's why and Yeah I feel bad for thinking it but it's the truth.

One of the fun parts of having weight loss surgery is how often you get to see your surgeon *rolls her eyes*  I love the man and I believe w/o his gift I could've died.   Today I had my follow up and was shocked when he told my I have met my goal.  Wow in 5 months I met what takes most 12 to 18 months to do.  We discussed what to do when I hit the lowest I wanna go and when plastics can be considered.   All in all I'm very pleased and don't see him again until Feb.  :)

I did it!  I have dropped 100 LBS!!!!!!! *does a happy dance*  Go me it's like my new birthday!
