Advice: It is only Help if it is Requested

Please note that asking for help, advice, encouragement, and accountability are all highly encouraged in this group. These are the things we need other people for. If you never ask for any, you really aren't going to be getting much out of this group. Just like in an in-person group session I suggest you give some vulnerability in order to receive the benefits you will find from connection.

That said.... if one of us does not ask for help (or advice, or accountability, or whatever) please refrain from offering it. Unsolicited door-to-door sales people rarely are welcome, desired, or genuine. Unsolicited 'help' online is pretty much the same except at least with the door-to-door I ended up with a cool vacuum.

Eats, Feats, and Sneaks: Daily Note Example

Each week day the group will have an "Eats, Feats, and Sneaks" post for all members to connect with. If you get up early and are first here, please go ahead and launch the day for us! Below is a sample of the type of responses we might have. The Italics are notes placed for clarification and would not be typically included. The threads will all be found in the "Discussion" tab on the sidebar.

Eats: (Menu and meal planning info. Stats from MFP encouraged if you got em. Personally I really need to get back on that wagon)

Still haven't gone to the damn grocery. I am going tonight and getting things planned. This morning I brought two packets of oatmeal and a kiwi in my lunchbox. LOL Seriously? FYI...warmed kiwi mixed into oatmeal...not delicious. Lunch will be freezer treat of some sort. Dinner??? I am thinking shrimp and pico de gallo. That is quick and super yummy and we haven't done it in a while.

Feats: (Self love, NSV, way to goes you need to give yourself, and things you might not remember having been successful at if you don't take a minute to appreciate them)

I woke up on time for the first time since the long weekend. I think I might finally be recovered from all the late nights and busy activity. This morning I am still at 125 and feeling pretty good here.

Sneaks: (FYI...sneaks refers to things my unhealthy food addicted former self allowed to sneak into my day that I don't want there. This includes times I undid my own intentions, slipped up on choices -food or otherwise, or did something I generally feel crappy about. Sometimes the crappy is fair sometimes I might just be beating myself up and needing a little encouragement. Some days I might not have any sneaks but I am grateful for you all to listen and support me when I do. You can expect the same in return.)

I had another blood sugar crash last night. I didn't eat nearly enough protein and had nothing with me to counter the drop when it hit. Ended up taking a glucose tablet and feeling like poop-muffins until I got a pb&j sandwich in me. I really have to take better care of myself. Being tired and out of routine is no excuse. Planning is a must for me.
