I just talked to Tracy. Her surgery went well but both IV infiltrated and then it took awhile (2hours!) to get some oral pain meds. There was a bit of a scare with a 102 temp last night but all seems to be resolved there. She seemed to have enjoyed her lunch of chicken broth, jello and grape juice and is now do-do (napping). You're doing great Tracy!!! I'll be seeing you tomorrow!!

Congratulations Tracy! Welcome to the other side. I am so happy for you. I read what your husband posted on the message board. It made me cry happy tears for both of you. I am praying for you a speedy recovery. Hang in there with your determination to do your walking, it is the best thing for you too. Take care.

I'm not Tracy, I'm Tracy's husband Rich, I don't have an account here, but figured you'd like the latest information. I'm sitting here in the ICU next to Tracy - dialup stinks, but it will have to do :). Everything is still going well heading into the night. Among the NUMEROUS people from the hospital that have come in to see her, I've been with her all day. The nurses have been taking great care of her, they're wonderful around here. She is waking up occasionally and the pain has gone from 9 on a scale of 1-10, to 7 at about 5:00, down to "moderate" now. That's a step in the right direction anyway :). The big doctor that followed up was the pulminary specialist, and he said her lungs are sounding great. She's resting as best she can for the evening, she's already insisted on taking walks twice. The nurses just kinda giggle and tell her that she'll be able to do that tomorrow morning. One of the strange things is that she is making more sense now on the Morphine than she did just after taking the Valium this morning :). The best part - the part that made me cry - was this afternoon around 3:15 when she woke up enough to realize that everything was done and successful, "I made it to the other side". Then proceeded to complain that she was gypped because "This morphine stuff is supposed to make you sleepy and I can't get to sleep." She then went right back to sleep :). But I wanted to take a moment to be an angel (Sorry for butting in Kirstin :) ), and thank all of you for your comments. Right before we left this morning, she printed out all the comments that had been posted, and they're here with her at the hospital. Thanks again everyone, Oh, and a speedy recovery to you Tracy :), Your Hubby, Rich
