Jan - you are doing great. Aren't you so glad you had this surgery!!! Keep walking (I think that is a lot of help in weight loss). I walk 3 to 4 miles per day, sometimes 5. I am down 142 lbs since 24 Oct 01! Sudy in rainy southwest Ohio

Hi, Just wanted to update on my 8 week anniversary (tomorrow). I have now lost 49 pounds and many inches. My clothes are beginning to get really baggy and my skin is starting to get that Sharpei look. But I'm so proud of the way I look. I kind of look like a balloon that the air has gone out of! I feel good, able to walk a mile and a half now. Eating has been a real challenge, still eating mostly mushy stuff, but it's getting better. I'm still praising God for blessing me with this surgery. Would I do it again? YOU BET I WOULD!!! Jan

Good Morning: August 23, 2002, 21 days post-op. Saw my surgeon yesterday for 3 week follow-up. Total loss 26 pounds. How exciting! Incision has been draining so he had to open it up a little with a scalpel and probe to see if there was a big pocket that was draining. He said it was only a small area and opening it would help it to heal faster. There was no pain involved although it made me nervous that there would be major pain. I always expect the worst. He said I am doing great and keep up the good work. I have to see him again in 3 weeks. Feeling stronger everyday. Jan
