"I met with Dr. Bertha on 2/28/01. I heard him speak at the Support Group meeting on 2/13, and was anxious to meet personally with him. The 2/28 visit was myself, Dr. Bertha, and nurse Mary Meola. It was nice to get there and find them waiting for me! No hour-long waits in a overcrowded waiting room. Dr. Bertha answered each of my three pages of questions! I was pleased with the time spent with me and with the answers to my concerns. He and Mary were both very well versed in all aspects of the surgery, from the initial visit to follow up care. At no time did he downplay the seriousness of the surgery, but also made me feel confident that I should not be overly fearful. I feel that I have made the right decision with Dr. Bertha. "
