Hello Friends, Itsure has been a while since I've updated and I wanted to share how things are going for me. I had my surgry(gastric by-pass/with a Fobi Pouch) seven month ago this week. It has been so amazing to lose and to feel and move like a Normal size person. I started at 287 and I am 5'2. I was wearing a very tight 26/28. I now am 203, -84 lbs and I wore my first size 16 jeans since high school(27 years!)I can now walk without pain and even run a little on the treadmill! If anyone is still tying to make up there mind about to do this surgery or not, DO It!! Any negitive thing people say about this procedure(and believe me, people are not shy about telling you horror stories about this surgery!)is far outweight by the postive way you feel after your recovery! Yes, its true that the first few weeks are hard, and there is Pain, but it gets better every day if you follow your doc instructions and learn how to eat slow and stop when your full. Personally, I feel great and can't imagine how the next 40-60 lbs I hope to lose will change my life. But I can't wait to start my next page in this jouney to healthy!!Good luck to all facing this decision.EvelynDebbie A. 21 years, 10 months ago

Hello friends, it's been 5 months since my surgery and I'm feeling great. I'm down 71 lbs and my BMI is 39.5 - thats down from 54!! I'm still amazed every day in the changes in my body. Sometimes it feels like I'm looking at another person and other times I think that it is coming off to slow! The engery is so much more than before, I'm excercing ang walking and getting healthier every day, What a feeling!! If you're deciding to have this surgery or not, DO IT! I would do it all over without a moments thought.I started at a tight 26/28 and last night went dancing in size XL skirt and HALTER TOP. I can't believe I wore that top, but my husband encouraged me to wear it, so I guess it was okay.Good luck to all on there journeys to thin!! EvelynDianne B. 22 years, 2 months ago

HELLO AMOS FAMILY!! This Angel is very excited to report that Evelyn Sharp is doing wonderful! She just called me and if I didn't know she had surgery yesterday, I would not have been able to tell that she had. She was chipper and had been given two liquid meals already today. She has been up walking and is feeling just great. I'm amazed at how she sounds. Good job Evelyn, it only gets better from here. Cindy S.kelly M. 22 years, 3 months ago
Hi Evelyn, glad to hear that you made it through the surgery and are doing so well. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers while you're on the road to recovery.Cindy S. 22 years, 3 months ago
It sounds like Evelyn came through her surgery with flying colors. Her hubby JD called and gave me an update. He said her surgery was about 2 hours, no complications. Her doctor said it was a routine surgery. She was already wanting to get out of ICU when he spoke with me. She was sitting up with minimal pain and they will have her up and walking either tonight or early tomorrow. Way to go Evelyn!! Your AMOS family is proud of you. Lets drop a line to her and let her know if you have time. Thanks all, Cindy S.About Me
