Well, I saw Dr Pohl on 4/29/02 and it went very well. I have since completed all of the required (and some not required) testing and evaluations. My second appt. with the surgeon is scheduled for July 18th at which time we will be setting a surgery date. Because of issues at work with summer vacations I will have to put the surgery off until the end of Sept./beginning of Oct. That's ok, although I would love to have it done as soon as possible, waiting will give me more flexability as to how long I can be out of work without putting a strain on the others in the office. So..... that's where I'm at today. Good luck to everyone with upcoming surgeries and to the rest.... be patient, good things come to those who wait.

Hi Jeana, just reading through all the messages of encouragement other people have sent to me, and noticed that you haven't updated much lately. Did you get a surgery date? Keep us posted.

Hi everyone! I went for my initial consult with my surgeon yesterday and I am pleased as punch! Dr Pohl is a wonderful man. He explained everything to me in great detail, (good and bad). We are waiting for the letter from my PCP and the approval process can begin! The only thing that I have to do is make an appointment with the Nutritionist, the office staff takes care of scheduling all the other testing! I am so excited, I can hardly stand it! One of the girls in Dr Pohl's office told me that approval should be a piece of cake, they haven't had any problems so far with approvals for people using Blue Chip/Flex. I'm not going to get my hopes up too high though, if someone is going to have an approval problem, it will be ME! LOL Have a wonderful evening everyone! To all who have surgeries scheduled soon, Best of luck for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery! To all the post-ops keep up the good work! And as for the rest of us...... the waiting is hard, but the best things in life are worth waiting for!
