Feeling better lately

I've been doing really good lately.  I'm drinking my protein shakes everyday (bought the Costo ones that have 30g protein per shake) and eating better.  I've been eating small portions, but more often and it's working good.  Tonight I had 1/2 chicken breast (boneless w/teriyaki) and a few bites of mashed potatoes along with some salad.  I think alot of my problem is staying up late at night.  I haven't been able to sleep well (maybe it's from drinking ALL DAY long) so I'm up and then I want to snack because I'm bored and can't sleep!  I've been thinking alot lately about how some people gain their weight back and it is scaring the crap out of me.  I'm so afraid of not being successful and I think that's good because it's motivating me to eat right.  I try to keep active during the day by doing alot of chores and errands, etc.  Sometimes I'll walk a couple of miles, but I haven't been doing it on a regular basis like I should.  Other than that, things are going pretty well.  I bought a pair of size 10 jeans, but as most of you know, sizes differ.  I would say I'm a 12 in most everything.  I would like to lose another 20 lbs and then maintain.  Today I'm feeling positive and I'm so grateful for all the blessings I have.

Not losing and frustrated

Well, I have to be honest.  I haven't been eating so great lately.  I had chocolate ice cream and Taco Bell a few days ago.  I can't believe that I actually ate that crap.  I feel bad but I'm not going to beat myself up about it.  I started a food log and have been writing down everthing I eat in a day.  I'm trying to eat around 1500-1800 calories.  I'm not really sure how many calories I'm supposed to eat to continue losing.  Hopefully I'm eating the right amount. 

I haven't lost anything in over a month now and I contribute that in part to my lack of exercise.  I do exercise, but not enough.  It's just that I hate it for some reason.  I mean, I always feel so good after, but it's getting there that is the problem.  Hopefully I can just keep encouraging myself.

Well I can now say that I am looking forward to the coming year with excitement.  I have so much to look forward to, a healthy new me!  I feel so good about myself now and love the way I look in clothes.  I have more energy than I thought possible and my moods have been very positive.  I can wear a size 12 in jeans now and it feels GREAT!

Down another size!   I bought a new pair of jeans yesterday, size 14.  I haven't been in that size since my wedding 17 years ago.  Of course they're pretty tight still but I'm sure they'll loosen up within a few weeks.

Yesterday was my 3 month anniversary and I've lost a total of 77 lbs so far!  I feel great and am really looking forward to being under 200.  I also finally got a job and started 2 days ago.  Today I'm going to visit my cousin in LA and am going to go shopping at the swap meet.  Right now I'm in a 16, but my jeans are starting to get just a little loose.  I still haven't really started an exercise program and it shows.  I need to start asap!  My stomach and legs are really flabby.  Other than that, I am very happy with the results so far.

I went to my first support group on Thursday.  It was amazing.  I met so many people there.  I was especially excited to finally meet my friend Rose who I met here on OH.  I'm glad I went because I had alot of questions and most of the people there were 4+ years out so they had some good advice.  Lately I've been struggling with not eating enough and I really need to get back on track with the protein.  I'm going shopping today so hopefully I can find some new and exciting things to eat.

Today I was able to fit into size 16 jeans!  I can't believe it.  I've been wearing the same stuff for a while since I moved and I don't have anything smaller than an 18.  I'm pretty excited about this.  I went to Old Navy and tried on a bunch of stuff but all the shirts are really tight fitting and cling to my stomach which doesn't look good.  I did finally find a shirt that didn't cling to me and it looks really cute with the jeans.  Now I need to seriously start exercising since I haven't started a program yet.  I feel so guilty about it too.  And I have no reason to not be exercising because I'm not even working yet!

Well, today is my first posting.  It's been 6 days since my surgery but it feels like a lot longer since I haven't eaten anything!  I have my first post-op appointment today and am looking forward to finally being able to eat something and start my vitamins.  So far I've lost 8 lbs.  Right now I'm in a size 24.  I'm so excited to begin this wonderful journey...
