So 4 weeks post op today . Still a little disappointed in the scale but overall I guess I haven't done too badly . Surgery weight 268 now 248, so only 20 lbs. My calories have been 500-600 and walking 2 miles. I increased yesterday to 800 and walked 4 miles , still no weightloss . I guess this is another stall, very frustrating .

Weight 252, down 16 lbs from presurgery weight ! Yey!
Trying to walk every day at least 1.5 miles .
My intake consists of coffee , premier protein with a bottle of water
Around 9 , chicken broth for lunch, bottle of water and syntrax at 2 ,
Dinner - premier protein and bottle of water.
Snack , 1/4 cup of Sf jello with a dab of cool whip
Total calories approx 530

today is my one week post op! yey! I am down 9 lbs since surgery. i started at 280, presurgery weight was 268. I came home from the hospital at 277, wow they really pumped me upwith the IV fluids. I lost that real quick. Today I am 259!!! I feel great, still some pain on my right side from the gallbladder. Only taking the loritab twice a day, once when i get up and then before i go to bed. have my first dr visit on thursday. hopin i can lose a couple more pounds before then. I have not been walking that much due to the severe soreness, but today i walked to the end of our road and back. i will try to do that twice today and also have to go to walmart (yuck) to get catfood. I am very grateful for my husband who has taken such good care of me. even in the middle of the night, if i move the wrong way, he wakes up to see if i need him to get something or is I am alright. so sweeet!! I will take my measurements today also to see if I lost any inches. My husband said I already look thinner. lol. Im so happy I did this!!
on fluids i currently try to get up at 6 am and drink my coffee along with an 11 oz premier protein shake. When i am done i start on my 16 oz bottle of water. I am usually through with that by 9 am and start on my second bottle of water. I make a cup of chicken broth for lunch and ususally around 12 pm have a sytrax nectar with skim milk. then start ona third bottle of water and drink a protein shake for dinner. Coffee is at 8 pm... yea! so I take in about 100 oz of fluids and 90-100 gms of protein a day. with about 510 calories.

day 8 on preop diet.. down 9 lbs. but then i ate good on new years day. bought new walking shoes yesterday and walked my 2 miles. Was so sick from Wed thru Sat that i did not walk. yesterday felt good. acutally did my 2 miles in 38 min. Yey! Dr visit on the 8th and surgery on the 13th. a little scared, but im sure this is what i need to lose this weight and get healthy.

so excited to start this new year! I ended up getting sick with some sort of bug, flu/cold. My throat hurts, my head hurts, my chest hurts.. omg my everything hurts. i went to dr on wed, they gave me antibiotics, but i dont think me sitting outside in the cold last night for several hours helped any. I had 2 shakes yesterday and maybe a 1/2 cup of pulled pork with a tiny bit of bbq and some potatoe salad. I know, not the best dinner t eat, but i figured it was okay since i was down 8 pounds since the 28th. back on it today. I am cooking my traditional black eye peas, with bacon and hog jowl. I did not know that black eye peas has 13 gms of protein in them. I will have to remember that for when i have to puree my food. Also steaming cabbage and i have a pork tenderloin that i will cook in the oven. yum!!! Happy new year. No weight loss yesterday. 272 still.

down 6 pounds! yey! Ate pretty much the same yesterday. Walked my 2 miles, my knees were buggin me just a bit. Had only 2 protein shakes and my turkey burger patty with a cup of salad and a tablespoon of Ranch. I was up to 280 since my lap band slipped Sept 2,2014. They took out all the fluid. At that time I weighed 257. So i had gained about abot 23 pounds since Sept. But Im losing now!

3 protein shakes, turkey burger patty with small green salad for dinner. 111 gms protein, 1090 cals.
Walked 2 miles burned 443 cals. Gotta cut back a little more tomorrow

today is Nov 30, 2014. I had a lap band sugery in Dec 2011 with my weight heaviest being 306 and surgery weight being 290. I lost 55 pounds in the first 6 mth. then i plateaud. I have managed to keep my at 256-260 for the last 2+yrs with the lap band. On Labor Day weekend 2014 I got some chicken stuck and my lab band slipped. I was unable to eat anything, and only able to get a half bottle of water by sipping daily. After the 3rd day i went back to the surgeon and he let 4cc's out of the 6cc's of fluid out of my band. I have been able to eat just about anything i want. so now i am back up to 270, which i think is not bad considering i havent been able to eat a full meal in 3 yrs. I had my nutrition appt on Nov 5, Sleep study #1 on Nov 20, diagnosed with sleep apnea so i had sleep study #2 on Nov 25th. I have also already completed my blood work and ekg so I am waiting on the nurse to call me on scheduling the surgery. I am hoping to go in on Jan 2.
