One small step in my journey but One large step for me

Last week on Friday I met with my surgeon who discussed my options in weight loss surgeries with me.  My husband and I were a bit overwhelmed by the options and were undecided about which route to go.  I know all roads lead to weight loss but which way to turn?  I had gone to the surgeons office with interest in the gastric band.  Weighing in at 308 the surgeon suggested the gastric sleeve or gastric bypass in my situation but was ok with the band if that is what I chose.  DH and I left the office and didnt discuss it until the next day both a bit more comfortable with the band than the other procedures.  So I think I have choosen.  I have started trying all the protien supplement drinks already and some of them are definatly better than the others thats for sure.  Im still a bit confused with this new diet I have been given but everyday I am trying to add a new part of it into my everyday.  I am calling the surgeons office as I type to give him my decision and move on to the next step in this journey.  I know its not going to be a quick overnight fix but this weight didn't appear overnight either.  So one small step in my journey but one large step for me.
