My name is Kira, I am 5' 6" and 334lbs. I have been contemplating weight loss surgery for about two years and decided that it is a must. This is the heaviest that I have ever been and with my thyroid problems things seem to be only getting worst. A few of my co-workers recommended Dr. Christina Li at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. I went to a seminar and there I learned that Lap-Band (my original choice) wasn't truly the best for those of us with a higher BMI ( mines is 54). Upon hearing this I was devastated because gastric bypass is too complicated for me. That is until a young lady spoke about her "sleeve"...I then asked how could I obtain more information on this "sleeve" and was told to check out "obesityhelp.com"...I have come across sooo many success stories and so many people have gotten this "sleeve", I WANT IT...
I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! I have mailed off my forms and I pray to my Heavenly Father that my insurance company will approve it (Carefirst BCBS-PPO) I was told by them that it would be covered because my BMI is over 50 so we shall see..Mean while I know it's a long process with the 6mths diet program and all, though I hope pass attempts count for something, anyway I am anxious and excited and nervous and did I say anxious and thrilled and PUMPED and WHOOO, I want to change my life, my knees hurt almost constantly and I cant even wear my heels anymore, dancing has become a thing of the past, I am young and within I'm so full of life but thanks to my weight no one would ever know it. I cant cross my legs and honestly I am pretty and people often compliment the way I carry my weight or the fact that I still have sex appeal or Im shapely BUT...SH*@ I dont want to carry this much weight, I want to be MORE shapely and MORE sexy AND MORE BEAUTIFUL, but most IMPORTANTLY I WANT TO LIVE A HEALTHY, FULL LIFE! As for now I am at the start of this process and prayfully everything will work out smoothly, Anything less is not an option, I have to change the direction of my health and the quality of my life.
