Okay...so I'm a 33 year old AA female and I've been over weight all of my life.  I am currently going back and forth between 289 and 295.  I've been on WW, JC, Atkins, diet pills everything...and each time the weight would leave for a bit...then come back harder than ever..and more. 

Last summer one of my theater friends told me about her going to Mexico to have a revision to her lap band, and she got the gastic sleeve.  I brushed it off...because I hadn't ever really considered surgery an option ( my insurance had denied me years ago, so I gave up on) but then I got diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and was like...um...NO, I'm too young and JAZZY for this to be happening to me.  So I called up that friend and go the low down.  She directed me to Joanne with Beliteweight and they have been helping me with my journey ever since....and today May 24, 2010 I got a confirmed surgery date!!!!  August 10, 2010!!!

So I hope to update alot...and I'm probably putting this in the wrong spot...hahahaha...baby steps!!!

I do know that this site has been a God send....and I surely would have gone bananas if I hadn't found it!!!! :)
