Three months out

It is amazing to think that it has only been a little more than three months since my surgery on May 14, 2012.  I have lost a total of 61lbs since I began my preop diet on April 30, 2012 and I feel amazing.  I still feel huge, but hear daily how great I am looking.  People are really starting to notice.  I went to my three month follow up appointment a few weeks ago, and my doctors are sooo happy with my progress.  My total cholesterol has dropped from 232 to 163 and everything else looked great.  I even took a copy of the labs to my fertility specialist (who was against the idea of surgery at first), and he said that I need to be doing commercials!  It felt great to hear him say that.

Dumping has been a non-issue for me thus far.  At first, I was a little disappointed because I wanted the negative reinforcement, but now I think this is a blessing in disguise.  I must learn to be accountable to myself and make proper food choices.  Losing weight and feeling great certainly helps me to stay on track. 

On another note, I got my bridesmaid dress today and it fits almost perfectly.  I only ordered it one size smaller than what I needed three months ago.  I was a little disappointed that it didn´t need to be taken in, but at least I saved money on alterations.  The dress is totally ugly though, so at least I won´t be too sad when I shrink out of it.
