Got SLEEVED on 6-16

Jun 22, 2010

Was sleeved on 6-16-2010 . . . bittersweet day! My precious niece, Caylee Renee` only 17 days old went to be cradled in the arms of our Heavenly Father.  I did not know until the next day.

So, I got sleeved! OMG, when I woke up, I was in so much pain. Worse than the 2 c-sections and hysterectomy I had combined! My mom stayed with me the first night. I was having some blood pressure issues (dropping down to 80/40). My blood sugar was still in the 200's despite insulin and NO FOOD! So, the transport person at the hospital brings me down to get my swallow test to see if I have any leaks . . . and my freakin hospital bed, with me in it, gets stuck in the elevator! Finally got out after the guy was standing on my bed and I'm in and out from the Morphine. So I got the test done! NASTY!!!!! After making it back to my room, I went to check on my OH friend who was in the room next to me. (we were suppose to be sleeved the same day, but doc made her wait an extra day) She was out like a light, so I went back to my room and played JEOPARDY with my morphine pump. "Alex, I'll take PAIN FREE for $1000!" That's some good stuff!  My oldest daughter ended up staying with me on the 2nd night, and thank God, because she would walk me to the potty and everything. On Friday afternoon I left the hospital to come home, straight to bed! Could not get comfy for nothing. Walking around a little on Saturday and Sunday, the gas pains are the worse!! By the way, on Sunday morning my Great-Aunt Judy passed! On Monday, went to Caylee's funeral. One of the hardest days of my life. She looked like a lil angel , so peaceful, just beautiful. So today is Tuesday, and I am feeling the best I have so far. Up and walking around alot! Did I mention that I don't even get hungry! Tried some Muscle Milk and spent the rest of the day in the bathroom. But, I have lost 16 lbs! And while at the beginning, I was kinda regretting having this surgery, now . . . I'M READY TO ROCK MY SLEEVE !!!!
