It's hard to believe now, but for the majority of my life, my weight was my primary concern.  Weight has since been replaced by concerns like:
 - how far will I run today?
 - which party should we go to tonight?
 - which pair of jeans should I buy???  Because they ALL FIT!!!
 - did that guy just wink at me?  :-)
 - so, THIS is what a functional and loving relationship feels like. 
 - what do you mean WHICH roller coaster???  ALL OF THEM!!!!
 - Bathing suit shopping?????   Yeah, baby!  And make mine that sweet little brown and teal one over there.  :-D

Yeah....weight will always be a concern, but god, it feels good to not spend every waking moment on it anymore!

Happy Anniversary to all you other April 11th's out there!  I hope you're all as happy in your lives and as thankful for this surgery as I am!!!

Wow....it seems like a world ago.  I have a hard time even remembering life "before".  It's as though I've always been this size...been this happy inside my own skin.  You know, it's funny.  The longer I'm this happy with myself, the more I can "forgive" myself for all the self destructive behaviors that were brought on mostly by my self esteem issues.  

Life is good!

04/10/07 Ok...tomorrow will be my six year anniversary! I am still completely sure that having this surgery is one of the best things that I've ever done for myself! One of the other "best things" is saying Yes to the man of my dreams and planning our wedding for May 17, 2008. The last time I was in a wedding dress, it was a size 28 and a bit too tight. This time.......size 10. :-) I'm at the point now where most of the people who knew me before the weight loss can't remember what I looked like back then....to the point where we were looking through some old pictures and my best friend pointed to one that had the old me in it and asked..."Who's that??" SHE TOOK THE PICTURE!!!! HAHAHAHA I'm still trying to get my iron and B12 under control and am still anemic but other than that......ROCK ON! Happy Anniversary folks!
