I've got a date!

Well this is really happening!  I just found out that I was approved today and I am now scheduled for March 8th.  I feel like a tremendous weight was just lifted off of me and I can breath again.  I know that I met a lot of the neccessary criteria for WLS (HTN, just about diabetic, Sleep apnea, PCOS, GERD, BMI 50) but I just felt like I was going to get called on a technicality.  I am so excited, nervous, happy (a gamut of emotions) but one thing that I know for sure that this is the answer that I was looking for.  I have contemplated gastric bypass for > 5 years but I just couldn't do the whole malabsorptive thing.  It was just not for me, although my husband chose to have gastric bypass a year ago and has done very well with it.  I thought that I fully understood VSG when I started on this path many months ago but I must say that I feel that I have learned so much more through the testimonies and posts of those who frequent this website, and that may be just the tip of the iceburg.  Thank you everyone for your support and info!
