My name is Juan Manon, i was born in Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Since i can remember Ive always been the "big one" in the family or the "funny fat guy". when i was younger i never really had a problem with my weight. by "problem" i mean, i didn't really care how i looked since i was a vary social and healthy person ( but overweight ), but for the past 4 years my life, both health wise and socially has hit rock bottom. i realized that i needed help so i did my research and i started my journey. finally about a year ago i was all ready to get the surgery. i had the doctor, the hospital, everything, when suddenly my insurance was taken away from me. i went through a huge depression, i was doing nothing with me life, and all i wanted to do was die. at that point both friends and family realized that i needed help, so they helped me. i got through it and started again.
February 22, 2009 i got the greatest news in the world..., or so i thought. My doctor had told me that on march 3, 2009 i was going to get the surgery. But like a sick joke, less than 24 hours before the surgery i got a call, the surgery was canceled once again. This time i didn't get angry or depressed because it wasn't canceled by something big like an insurance problem. it was canceled because some of the paperwork wasn't up to date. i did what i had to and got it fixed, now i have a new surgery date May 26, 2009.
A new life awaits me, and this time i hope they don't cancel it again!
