So excited, I have been told that we order our Opti-fast today (decided to 1/2 vanilla / 1/2 chocolate) and find out our surgery date. I finally meet Dr. Grandcharov who told me because I was originally referred to St. Mike's that is where my surgery would be and they also follow that hospitals procedures. At St. Mike's they do not pre-book anyone's surgery, I will get a call about a month or so before my surgery date to let me know when my PATTs (preadmission appt) and surgery date is going to be. I asked a couple people and got a few different answers. The first was May/June, but Dr. Grandcharov thought it would more likely July or August. So disappointing...but I thought oh well this just gives me more time to figure it all out. I wasn't going to let this discourage me!
