Stay Positive

Apr 17, 2012

I had surgery 4/2/12.  I must say my hospital stay was very good.  I didn't wake up in any pain. Not to say I didn't have gas because I did.  It was more in my back.  I asked for a heating pad and can you believe that they had none on the floor stated the mother baby unit has them on lock.  My nausea came with only two walks around the nurses station.  After that I have had no nausea or vomiting.  I did get a little discouraged because the scale showed only 6lbs lost over two weeks.  I know everybody is different but I began to question my surgery.  I also don't feel full below the breast bone like most other bariatric patients.  My fullness is more below like where I always feel full at.  I don't know if this is normal but I have my first appointment Thursday 4/19/12 so I will ask the doctor.  My mom made a joke and said the doctor just made some holes to make it look like he performed the surgery.  She is a total mess but I love her.  I called Dr. Kim nurse and he said everything should be fine as long as I'm not vomiting with nausea or fever.  I have not experienced none of that should I consider myself lucky.  To be honest although those things are not good to do but you feel if you're not doing it you may not be successful.  I'm trying to think positive and stay off the scale. I will start the gym tomorrow with just 30 minute cardio to start with.   Until next time OH have a good day.
