Mary Ann, good luck on your surgery. I am having the same surgery on 9-3 for return hernia. I had mine fixed 2-14 but it is now back bigger than ever. So I am having the mesh repair also. Again good luck. Hope everything goes ok.

Tomorrow is my hernia repair surgery. The hernia is so large that the surgeon will be using a sheet of gortex instead of mesh. I would appreciate the prayers of all you AMOS prayer warriors - I do so want this to be an easier recovery than my WLS. I don't post on the board often, but keep my profile up to date. I am down 170 lbs in 12 months & 12 days and finally went under a 40 BMI (39.9, but I'll take it!!) If you are a super sized pre-op or if you are chronologically advanced (I am 55), go visit my site for encouragement. I have tried to be totally honest there!!! Good luck to everyone on the journey, no matter where you are.

Mary Ann, Congrats to you. What a wonderful year that you have had. We started out in the same arena of weight. I know that my life has changed in ways that I never thought possible.....I am in the same boat. Can not wait until I can chop off this terrible skin!! KimmieTN
