I will be having gastric bypass sometime before the end of the year! I met with Dr. Dahman on September 4th, 2012 and he feels I would be an excellent candidate for weight loss surgery. Right now my insurance company requires a 6 month supervised diet with the surgeon plus a cardiac and pulmonary clearance. Luckily for me, my husband will have new insurance starting on October 1st that is really good. His insurance does not require a wait or supervised diet. I have decided to get all of my clearances though just incase! I have all of my preliminary stuff either completed or scheduled and I will have everything done by the time I go back to Dr. Dahman's office on October 9th!Its all becoming very real to me that this is going to happen. For so long I wished my insurance would cover it and now I will finally have my chance!
