Well,
Where do Start I have been Obese and Morbidly Obese for Most of my adult life starting when I first got Married and started having Children. I am an Emotional Eater and Love food. I like the feel of a nice juicy burger in my mouth and french fries forget it.
I know stress has played a big part in my eating and I have worked hard over the last year to controll that and came from a high weight of 407LBS 2 years ago to last summer I was at 371lbs and still slowing loosing but never really winning the fight.

Then my knees started giving out on me and had meniscus repair surgery 2 years ago last Sept. Didn't work my knee got worse and this last Jan 2011 I had a tolal LEft knee replacement of which I am still recovering from.

My Lnee Surgeon said if you dont loose the weight you will wear out the replacement and we will eventually have to replace the right Knee as well.

Last September I had started the process with OHSU here in Portlabd, OR to go thru all the tests to get qualified for RNY Gastro Bypass. Both My Knee Surgeon and My Gastro Surgeon and my PCP agreed that If I had the Knee surgery first and then have the Gastro I would be able to start excercising by the time I recover from Gastro.

So,
here I am 7 days Post-op from Gastro Surgery and My knee is much better and I am able to walk for 30mins and feel pretty good. Still have to ICE the knee alot but thats ok.

I weighed in on 3-8-2011 surgery day at 322.9lbs. I had lost over 30 lbs during the Pre-op phase as well.

My Surgeon was very happy and told me I had done a good job of shrinking my Liver in preparation for Surgery and MAde his job very easy.

As of this morning I weight 309.8lbs and feel great still have a little nausea in the morning and almost off the pain meds too.

Learning how to eat all over again in a healthy way now.

any good recipes anyone has please share them with me.

I am lucky that I love body fortress protein shakes and even mixes them into the cream of wheat.

I look forward to hitting my goal weight of 180lbs by summer 212.

Wish me luck.
