Hello everyone! Things are going absolutely wonderful for me and my weight loss. I had my 1 month post op follow up appointment on 10/15/02 and have a new weigh in report. I am officially down -21.5 lbs.! That's right! In one month I have lost over 20 lbs. This gift and blessing of WLS has truly overwhelmed me. I am so excited to be able to share my success story with others. For anyone thinking about having or for those of you who have had WLS, there isn't a thing I would change about my decision. Keep up the faith and trust your own judgement/decision. Don't let anyone discourage you or try to make you change your mind. Only you know yourself better than anyone else. Stand by what you know is best for you and you'll do just fine. I don't have another follow up appointment until December so I'll have a new weigh in to report then. Until then, you all will continue to be in my prayers and again, thanks for all your encouragement.

Well, it's been 19 days since my surgery and I'm doing absolutely wonderful! I am truly amazed at my recovery and that I've had no complications, side effects, pain or anything else as a result of having surgery. I had my first post op follow up appointment on 9/26/02. Eight (8) days following my procedure I was down -17 lbs!!!!! I could hardly believe it myself. My next appointment is next Tuesday and I'll have a new weigh in to report then. I just sincerely want to thank each and every one of you for all your kind words of encouragement. It truly meant a lot during that stressful time. I'm also so glad to be off the Liquid Diet. A girl can only take so much broth and sugar free jello you know. I've now advanced to soft/pureed foods and am enjoying actually getting to "chew" my food as opposed to having to drink it... Well, that's it for now. To all of you thinking about having or to those who have already had WLS, keep your heads up and good luck to all. I wouldn't change a thing and look forward to a bright and healthier future. Until next week......

Hi everybody! Well, I'm home from surgery. Yep, that's right. I had surgery on Wednesday morning and it's Friday evening and I'm at home. Everything went absolutely wonderful. There were no complications whatsoever. I just wanted to take the time to thank each and everyone of you for your kind thoughts, words of encouragement and prayers. God is truly good and He has allowed me to come through this with flying colors. I'll post later of the specifics but just know that I'm in absolutely no pain and FEEL GREAT!
