1 year, 3 month update

I haven't posted in what seems like forever. I am really struggling. I have lost 46 lbs. and I have been stuck here since October. I keep losing and gaining the same 5-8 lbs. I know that partially it is my fault though. I haven't been to get a fill since October. I haven't been able to make time for the appointment. But I told myself that I have to put myself first and get back on track. I go for another fill tomorrow morning. I am praying that this will work and the scale will start moving again.

Scheduled 2nd fill

I just called to schedule my 2nd fill. I desperately need one. I have pretty much no restriction and believe that I am eating too much. I have lost 25 lbs. and since then going back and forth between the same 2-3 lbs. So hopefully, I will get some restriction from this fill next Monday. Wish me luck.

My First Fill

I got my first fill yesterday afternoon and it was a very interesting experience. It was also a little painful. Not as bad as I was expecting, but not as pleasant as it could have been. There was a little difficulty finding the correct angle of my port opening so I got stuck 3 times. The 3rd time was a charm, Thank God!! I don't know if I could have gotten stuck more than that. We tried it the first time with me laying on the table, then we tried it with me standing up, then again laying down. I know that it could have been worse, but hopefully, next time, it will be a more pleasant experience for me. Anyway, I got 3ccs and I don't really feel a huge difference, but I know that it will take a couple of fills before I reach my "sweet spot" and get that perfect restriction.

First Post-Op Update

I haven't posted anything in a while, so I figured that it was time for an update. First, I would like to thank everyone for all of their support. All of your kind words and encouragement have kept me calm and motivated through this entire process.
I am 4 1/2 weeks post op and so far I am down 16 lbs. Everything has been going well with the exception that I caught a cold last week and am still trying to get rid of that. I go to get my first fill on March 23rd and I am praying that there are no complications or pain with that. Over the last couple of weeks, I have read some horror stories about fills. Other than that, things are going very well. I will post again once I get my fill.

After several weeks of waiting, I finally got my surgery date!! My date of rebirth will be February 10th.

I just got the call today. I have finally been approved!! Now, I'm just waiting for my surgery date.
Finished 6-Month Diet

I finally finished my 6-month medically supervised diet. Now, the waiting game begins. I have to wait for my PCP to fax my records over to the financial rep. at the surgeon's office and wait for her to fax all of my records to my case manager at the insurance company.
