Still waiting on surgery.  My tentative date was Oct 31st but my pulmonologist is screwing me over.  Would not release me for surgery even though I follow what she wanted me to do with the CPAP.  I really think she is doing it out of spite.

So I went to see the doctor today about that stupid CPAP because anesthesiologist will not do surgery unless I have one unless I go into ICU.  Well she denied me to have surgery because I cannot wear the CPAP or a BIPAP and I have to attend a clinic for it.  I am so pissed!  They just don't understand and seem not to care either.  I might as well forget about having my weight loss surgery again.

Finally I have a surgery date of Oct 30!  Which is so fitting being Hallow's Eve the day before Samhain so I will be celebrating the death of the fat me.  Although right now it is on hold until nurse speaks to surgeon because of problems I had with CPAP and I cannot wear one.  It is a requirement from anesthesiologist.  So I'm not sure what they are going to do because I just cannot not do it.  I tried and it was miserable for me they ended up stopping the study in middle of the night because it was so bad.   Nurse said if I can't wear one I will have to go into ICU after surgery.

I could of had a surgery date of Sept 19th but I wanted to see my friend on his wedding day.  I haven't seen him in 4 yrs and he will only be out for a week and I will just get to see him that one day.  Then the surgeon leaves for India which is why I have to wait until Oct 30th.  But I have waited this long I can wait another month.

I went to my sixth and last medically supervised diet yesterday and when they weighed me I gained 6 pounds.  I know it is water weight because my face and legs are swollen and I feel terrible.  But I'm so afraid the insurance company will deny my surgery because of the weight gain plus the surgeon wants me to lose 10 pounds before surgery. I don't have a date yet and still need to do the 2 weeks of pre-op liquid diet.

I just wish I would feel better and not so swollen.

Today I did my blood work, edg and pulmonary function test. All I have left is my sixth medically supervised diet on Tuesday Aug 12th then need a surgery date. 

During my procedure resident Dr said my surgery was next week. I said I don't have a date yet?  Then anesthesiologist said same thing and a nurse.  I said why didn't I know this?  Then when they wheeled me in resident Dr said oh wait we aren't in next week.  I said good. LOL!

They did find 2 different size hiatus hernia and non-bleeding erosion lesions so I have to take prilosic for 3 months.  So I wonder how long before surgery.

Well I had my second sleep study done last night with the bipap.  Needless to say it did not go well and I did not sleep at all.  As I told them it made me feel worse. I don't know how this will affect my surgery now.  Also I've gained weight again. I hate this up and down in weight.

So I got a call today saying they needed to schedule my sleep study.  I said I already did one.  She said oh let me see.  I said is this follow because I need a machine?  She said oh yes it is your test came back that you have MILD sleep apnea.  Well if it is mild why do I need a CPAP??  I told surgeon I had problems with CPAP and BIPAP before why do I need to wear one now?

She said well you just need to wear it for day of surgery after that you don't need it.  I said then why waste my time and insurance money for a short time of use if it is not that bad knowing it makes me feel worse to wear one??  She said if you want the surgery you have to wear it.  sigh  She then said call your surgeon and discuss it with her to see if you can skip it since it is mild.

I just got an email from Jamie at surgeon's office and all I have left to do is one more medically supervised weight loss class, EGD, blood work and pulmonary function test.  So I am thinking I will finally have my surgery either Sept or Oct. 

So tonight should be my 5th month of medically supervised diet.  I was afraid to go because I thought for sure I gained weight.  Nope!  I actually lost 6lbs!!  So I have one more month of meeting and hoping soon I will have my surgery.

So the dreaded sleep study is done.  Do not know if I have to wear a cpap or not.  Told them I cannot tolerate them with the problems I had before.  She asked why I was there then if I can't wear one I said because it was due to having gastric bypass it is part of the procedure. So now all I have left is to lose the 10 pounds which is not going very well I also have blood work and I think pulmonary test left to do then surgery date.  Oh and one more month of medically supervised diet after July 8th.
