Oliver Whipple

"I can honestly say that I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Whipple and his staff. In order to be accepted into the bariatric program you go to the information seminar first where you fill out the paperwork about the procedure you think you want. His staff takes your insurance info that day and then checks with your insurance provider to make sure WLS is covered. The wait for that could be anywhere from few days to a week or two depending on the time of year and how many new patients come to the seminar. Once you get n appointment to see Dr. Whipple and he goes over your history he will give you a checklist of things you need to have done in order to be submitted to the insurance company for approval. The checklist is self managed. In other words, he gives you the list and its up to you to make the appointments and get everything done. So the process takes as long as it takes you to get the checklist done. Dr. Whipple's staff is very nice and they are all very helpful. Dr. Whipple and his assistant comes by to see me everyday that I was in the hospital. His assistant would come in the morning and he would come by later in the day. I am very satisfied with my care and would recommend Dr. Whipple to anyone wanting bariatric surgery. "
