Hi Toni! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! Should the worst happen and your husband is laid off it shouldn't stop you from having your surgery. They will give you the option of paying for COBRA health insurance, which is a continuance of your current insurance. I've heard of several people going ahead with their surgery using COBRA. Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and may you be blessed with a swift and painless recovery. I'll keep you in my prayers!

hi toni- thank you for all the well wishes. i did have a complication free surgery, i just came back yesterday night from the hospital(8-16-01). I am tired but this is is best thing that I have done for my self in ages. I am so happy, the only thing is that i am trying to get as much rest as possible. I am so happy that you have surgery date and I know that as the day is drawing nearer, you get more nervous( this is very normal)(I was very nervous too)just try and go in with a positive attitude and think about the positive effects of this surgery.Pray before your surgery and really God will be in control and guide your surgeon's hands I wish you the best, speedy recovery and you are in my prayers. bye

Hi Toni, Congratulations on your date. I am very happy for you. Also thank you for posting a note to me. My surgery is August 23rd. Anyway I hope that all goes well. And I hope that you will recover quickly. I am sure that you won't be on edge with everyone once the day comes. I have had the same problems. I can't focus either. But the biggest thing that I think about is that once I loose weight I will be able to do the things that I haven't been able to for so long. I hope this helps, but I know the waiting is awefull. toni its count down i pray the time will speed by for you and i pray for a safe surg and speedy recovery. im 2 months post opt down 42 lbs to 207 you will hear me screaming in GA when i get under 200. o problems so far only regret wish i would have done it sooner God bless to keep you safe in his care glenda berry

Toni, I am so happy that you have a surgery date for September 4th. I just want you to know, that I went through all the things you are going through right now, before my surgery and what have posted on this site, except, for the fact that I was never "normal" LOL. Seriously speaking, hang in there and keep thinking positive. You are almost there because it is your turn now to start a "new beginning." I am so ecstatic for you that you will be on the other side soon!!
