"I have to start off by saying that I hate doctors! Before going to Dr. Alvarez for my VSG I had not been to a doctor in 9 years. I was not overjoyed with the idea of going to Mexico either. Boy was I WRONG!!! I had the most amazing time in Mexico and would actually love living there. The hospital is located in the most quaint and charming little city. Dr. Alvarez is not like any other Doctor I have ever met. I was surprised to find that he has almost no accent at all, even though he is a Mexican surgeon. The man is wonderful! He is kind, honest and very educated without being arrogant. I will; and have referred many people to him for these types of surgeries. I doubt they could find a more brilliant surgeon in the US. "
